The Duchess wears Prada for Queen's Young Leaders reception

The Duchess of Sussex joined Her Majesty and Prince Harry this evening for a reception at Buckingham Palace to present awards to the Queen's Young Leaders for 2018. The awards recognize a select group from the Queen's Young Leaders Programme, an initiative that celebrates young people across the Commonwealth nations who are making strides in their communities.

The event marks Meghan's second engagement with the Monarch following their away-day in Cheshire earlier this month.

WHAT MEGHAN WORE

SKIRT SUIT: Meghan wore bespoke separates by Prada. The powder pink set includes a belted short sleeve jacket with double-breasted button front, and an a-line midi skirt with asymmetrical draped hem.

Love it, I think the suit is fantastic, I love the wide neck on Meghan, it looks great on her. The peplum jacket is so neat with its formal double rows of buttons, and the skirt is a nice touch with the asymmetric hem, rendered as smart as such a thing can be by genius Prada tailoring. A perfect outfit for the palace and the Queen.

The shoes are brilliant especially for the cocktail hour, I have a minor quibble that the strap and bow details are a bit too much against buttons and belt detailing up top, but I like the black contrast in bag and pumps, it spices up the summery baby pink.

I can't get over how glossy Meghan's hair looks tonight, and how it's holding itself in check, Someone's found some handy product! She's a real duchess tonight :)

Meghan looks beautiful and I love her in powder pink but I dislike this outfit. Like most of her clothes, it's ill-fitting and big up top. If these are bespoke how do they get the fit so wrong!

Meghan's only been a Duchess for a few weeks and she's already dressing like a 60 year old! This Prada set is so dowdy and something you'd see on a mother of the bride. Thank goodness she wore sexy shoes with it. That's all I like about the outfit.

I generally love what she wears but my initial impression was that this outfit was a miss instead of a hit. The double breasted jacket makes her look wide instead of slender and the belt is meh. She's not suppose to be the bell of the ball here but it looks like she's playing dress up. It's not up to par for her usual easy, gorgeous, style in my opinion.

I like what Dutchess maintenance on but I think it's too ill fit fitting the skirt is way way too long and big it looks so old on her I usually like everything that she was where's if I think someone else is dressing her now and it goes along with the Royals and I keep up with

This two piece dress is perfectly tailored and every seam is exactly where it should be. It fits her very well and I like the whole look. Everything from the colour over the jewellery to the shoes is unostentatiously. I'm a trained and examined dressmaker by the way.

Love this ensemble. I can easily see it in a more luxe fabric, perhaps a matte satin, deep red, at black-tie function or cocktail party, with a blingy thin belt. Those shoes are too cute.

Really elegant and beautiful! I miss the colors on my part, often wearing a bit tedious pale colors, even if the stronger, darker colors are good, just think about the engagement costume. I miss the simple, but great messy bun, the present haircuts are too overdone, I think.

Its the buttons on this that drive me a bit bonkers. Makes the outfit really busy and it just does not seem it sit correctly. Colour is gorgeous and the skirt is particularly beautiful.
