Meghan launches clothing line in aid of Smart Works

The Sussex Royal Instagram account announced a new initiative today with Meghan's patronage, Smart Works.

Following the launch of the Vogue magazine campaign, the Duchess of Sussex revealed plans to launch a women's clothing line in aid of the charity which will be done in collaboration with her fashion designer friend Misha Nonoo, and high-street retailers Marks & Spencer, John Lewis, and Jigsaw.

The brands have come together to work towards this united force for good, “[reframing] the idea of charity as community,” as Meghan writes in a piece for this month’s British Vogue. They will follow the 1:1 model where an item from the collection purchased is an item shared with a woman of Smart Works because “not only does this allow us to be part of each other’s story; it reminds us we are in it together.”

Meghan guest-edits British Vogue

As revealed last month, The Duchess of Sussex is the Guest Editor for the September issue of British Vogue magazine. Candid photographs released alongside the September cover pictures Meghan in the workroom of the Smart Works office in London

Over the past seven months, The Duchess has curated the content with British Vogue's Editor-in-Chief Edward Enninful to create an issue that highlights the power of the collective. They have named the issue: “Forces for Change”.

Meghan choose not to appear on the front: instead she chose a diverse selection of women from all walks of life, each driving impact and raising the bar for equality, kindness, justice and open mindedness. The issue goes on sale on Friday.

Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor was christened in the Private Chapel at Windsor Castle this morning and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex shared a couple of photos from their son's special day.

Baby Archie wore the handmade replica of the Royal Christening Robe and in accordance with Royal tradition, the Lily Font and water from the River Jordan were used during the Christening. It was an intimate ceremony and the royal couple also shared a family portrait taken in the Green Room of the castle.
