WHAT MEGHAN WORE
SUNGLASSES: Possibly the Le Specs Bandwagon Sunglasses which are available in Black Rubber and Black Tort. I believe Meghan is wearing the Black Tort colorway because the frame seems too reflective for matte black rubber.
Following a glittering royal wedding ceremony, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex departed Windsor Castle this evening for a reception hosted by The Prince of Wales at Frogmore House.
The newlyweds left in a silver blue Jaguar E-Type Concept Zero. This vehicle was originally manufactured in 1968, and has since been converted to electric power
As expected the bride made a wardrobe change. She got out of her Givenchy wedding dress and emerged wearing a slinky evening dress designed by Stella McCartney. The bespoke gown by the famous British fashion designer is made from lily white silk crepe and is defined by a halter neck and sleeveless silhouette.
Meghan wore custom shoes from Aquazurra made in silky satin, with nude mesh, with soles painted in baby blue.
The Duchess accessorized with an impressive cocktail ring on her right hand which was Princess Diana’s much loved emerald-cut aquamarine ring. This statement ring was custom-made for Diana following her 1996 divorce from Prince Charles.
Meghan finished the look with new earrings, they are part of Cartier’s Reflection de Cartier collection (US$68,000). Each earring features 19 brilliant-cut diamonds totaling 0.81 carats, and with 10 baguette-cut diamonds totaling 1.08 carats all set in 18K white gold.
Her hair is styled by London based hairdresser George Northwood tonight.
Prince Harry has married his American bride Meghan Markle in a glittering royal ceremony at St George's Chapel in Windsor Castle. The bride surprised us all by wearing a wedding dress designed by Givenchy's Clare Waight Keller. You will find a full break down of her royal bridal look below:
WHAT MEGHAN WORE
DRESS:
Meghan's dress is by British designer Clare Waight Keller for Givenchy. Meghan and Clare worked closely together on the design. The dress epitomises minimal elegance referencing the codes of the iconic House of Givenchy and showcasing the expert craftsmanship of its world-renowned Parisian couture atelier founded in 1952.
The Design: True to the heritage of the Givenchy fashion house, the elegant lines of the dress are achieved using six meticulously placed seams.
The focus of the dress is the open bateau neckline that gracefully frames the shoulders and emphasises the sculpted waist. The lines of the dress extend towards the back where the train flows in soft round folds cushioned by an underskirt in triple silk organza. The three-quarter sleeves add a note of refined modernity.
The Fabric: Following extensive research by Clare Waight Keller in fabric mills throughout Europe, an exclusive pure white double bonded silk cady was developed for the dress.
VEIL:
Meghan expressed the wish of having all 53 countries of the Commonwealth with her on her journey through the ceremony.
Clare Waight Keller designed a veil from silk tulle representing the distinctive flora of each Commonwealth country united in one spectacular floral composition.
TIARA: The veil was held in place by Queen Mary's diamond bandeau tiara (a.k.a. Queen Mary’s Filigree Tiara), lent to Meghan by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. The diamond bandeau is English and was made in 1932, with the centre brooch dating from 1893.
The bandeau, which is made of diamonds and platinum, is formed as a flexible band of eleven sections, pierced with interlaced ovals and pavé set with large and small brilliant diamonds. The centre is set with a detachable brooch of ten brilliant diamonds.
The diamond bandeau was made for Queen Mary and specifically designed to accommodate the centre brooch. This brooch was given as a present to the then Princess Mary in 1893 by the County of Lincoln on her marriage to Prince George, Duke of York. The bandeau and the brooch were bequeathed by Queen Mary to Queen Elizabeth II upon her coronation in 1953.
WEDDING RING:
Meghan's ring has been fashioned from a piece of Welsh Gold, gifted by Her Majesty The Queen. Prince Harry's ring is a platinum band with a textured finish. Both rings were made by Cleave and Company who are the official Court Jewelers. JEWELLERY: Meghan wore her Cartier White Gold and Diamond Galanterie Stud Earrings and the 'Reflection' diamond bracelet also by the French luxury jewellery house. SHOES: The wedding shoes are based on a Givenchy refined pointed couture design made of a silk duchess satin. BOUQUET: The bridal bouquet was designed by London based florist Philippa Craddock. The bouquet included spring blooms of Forget-Me-Nots which were the late Princess Diana's favourite flower. The bouquet was a petite design, pulled together in a gentle, ethereal, relaxed style with delicate blooms also including scented sweet peas, lily of the valley, astilbe, jasmine and astrantia, and sprigs of myrtle, all bound with a naturally dyed, raw silk ribbon. Prince Harry handpicked several flowers yesterday from their private garden at Kensington Palace to add to the bespoke piece.
HAIR:
Meghan's hair was styled by Serge Normant. The American is one of the leading hairstylists in the fashion industry today. Meghan had her hair up in a chignon and a front center part.
MAKE-UP:
Meghan opted for an understated natural look. Her flawless make-up was done by long-time friend and make-up artist Daniel Martin.
