The Duchess of Sussex was spotted leaving a business lunch in Notting Hill yesterday with Christian Jones, the new Deputy Communications Secretary for Kensington Palace.
WHAT MEGHAN WORE
COAT: Navy wool coat with epaulettes (unidentified).
JEANS: Maternity distressed denim. Possibly the H&M Mama ‘Boyfriend’ Jeans (US$49.99).
SUNGLASSES: Victoria Beckham ‘Navigator Power’ sunglasses (US$425).

Such a chic look, and yes the ripped jean are not very 'royal' but this is something I would wear so I love the outfit. However, I'm perplexed why Meghan had a business meeting outside of Kensington Palace? This is where they both work so why the need to take it outside? This behaviour is more a keen to her previous celebrity life, and not something we see the royals do.

I completely agree...the whole meeting, etc is very strange. Especially since it is so casual and they aren’t trying to go in a back entrance or hide from photographers.

I love this look too, especially the jeans,I would love to know the make of the coat. Maybe it wasn’t a business meeting but just an outing with staff.

Christine, it may not have been a business meeting but this is still not something royals do i.e. just hang out with their staff in public. An outing like this costs the tax payer because of the added security.

Are the members of the Royal Family now prisoners, who may not leave their prison? Or is this only as far as Meghan is concerned? No complaint when Kate goes shopping in a nearby supermarket?

Concerning the added security. Where do you think are these security people on the other times? They get a monthly wage and it doesn't matter if they guard a palace or Meghan having a business lunch.

I disagree that a business lunch with staff outside KP is somehow “unroyal”. I am sure it’s been done before without our knowledge and if not then it is high time as this is 2019.

this is only the second off duty look that I have seen on the Duchess and I love it. I actually dress like this sans the expense Mulberry bag and the chauffeur driven car. Love it Duchess Meghan.

Those do not look like Ray-Ban aviators. Saw other photos from this lunch and the shape of her lens is different for those of Ray-Ban’s.

Lately I haven't been listing the price for repeat items. You can find the product price and info if you click the link or product image. Would you prefer I continue to list the price even if the item is not new? I would love to get your feedback on this x

I would really like to see the price even on repeat items. What I would also like is a small comment on how many times each item has been worn. I'm rather curious to see if most of their expensive shoes and accessories (as they are the ones to be often repeated) have a good price per use ratio.

I really like when the price is there, even if I can search for it. It gives me the added bonus of being able to make a quick decision on my phone if I am going to purchase the item or not.

What royals should not do is drive beyond a certain age, have an accident that almost killed a 9 month old baby then continue to drive afterwards on another day without a seatbelt.

There is an article in the US version of People magazine this week about some of Meghan’s fashion choices and sustainability/charities various brands give to. Very interesting. Many of her fashion choices are establishing communities in Africa, etc. Pages 61-63 for those interested.
