Meghan Markle wears tartan for first official visit to Scotland

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were in Edinburgh today for their first official joint visit to Scotland. The trip was part of their public engagements in the run-up to their wedding on 19 May. It follows trips to Nottingham, Brixton, and Cardiff.

RINGS: In addition to her trilogy diamond engagement ring, Meghan also wore a few stackable rings on her right hand.

On her middle finger Meghan stacked the Birks Iconic Splash Ring (US$1,495) and Birks Iconic Snowflake Ring (US$4,995).

On her third finger she wore the Missoma Interstellar Ring (£45).

On her thumb and an index finger she wore the Catbird 'Threadbare' yellow gold rings (US$44).

SHOES: Jimmy Choo 'Luther' Suede Cutout Bootie.

HAIR: Meghan wore her hair down and parted down the middle.

I love these pants!! The pearl accents really make a basic black pant pop!! I think I might sew pearls on my black pants! The only thing I'm not loving about these pants is the length. I get that it's very trendy and Victoria Beckham-ish now but having one's pant leg drag through the dirt and puddles just isn't fashionable imho. I think if the hem was shorter by just a bit, maybe a half inch or so these pants would be perfect!

I think for someone about to become a member of the royal family, everything about this look is wrong. The massive coat that looks way too big on her, the bag over the head, trousers to the ground that pick up the dirt and her hair that doesn't look like a brush has been through it. I have liked in the past that she's been a bit different but today "No". The only good thing was the nod to the scottish with the tartan.

I would like to know too. Before Harry she always was well dressed, the hair very glosy(and in place) and fun jewerly. I don't get to anderstand this changes in Meghan's style.

I think it’s cause she’s in this new country and she has to get new hairstylists, new facialist, basically an entire new glam squad that are still learning how to get her hair and makeup down packed. In Canada she had her team that knew exactly what to do while in Britain, they have to acclimate. Also, I think she wears these pants cause it’s cold.

I really haven't been loving Meghan's looks as of late. The engagement announcement outfit was my favorite and the Christmas Day outfit was ok, but this is just too much. Everything looks huge on her and I wish she would do something with her hair. And what's with all the rings? I guess if they have sentimental meaning that's fine, but why wear 5 rings on one hand? Seems over the top to me.

I do like that she does her makeup au naturale. She is quite naturally beautiful, but I wish she would do something with her hair so we can see her pretty face!

I will also say that I am loving her Strathberry bags. I would die for one.

What is it with pants that drag along the ground? getting muddy and wet. In the end the look is messy and poorly fitted.

The outfit is perfect! Loving the hair, pants and boots. The coat is the crowning glory. The texture, pattern and color are beautiful. I can just feel how warm and cozy it is!
