Meghan Markle revives Smythe Brando Coat for visit to Reprezent Radio

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were in Brixton today to visit youth radio station Reprezent Radio. It is the couple’s first official engagement of the year - and their second as a couple after their first outing in Nottingham just days after they announced their engagement in November last year.

The pair were there to see the work supporting young people through creative training in radio and broadcasting, and to learn more about Reprezent Radio's model of using music, radio and media for social impact.

JEWELRY: In addition to her trilogy diamond engagement ring, Meghan also wore three thin band gold rings on her right hand and a thin gold bangle. She also donned a thin gold chain necklace with the end tucked into her top.

The bar shaped ring is the Zofia Day Bar stack ring (US$715) in yellow gold and the two thin stacking rings are the Catbird Threadbare Yellow Gold Rings (US$44 each).

Meghan's sticking to a formula on her first outings, with light neutrals over dark daywear. She manages it very nicely of course, a and I recall Kate stuck to neutral tones until she plucked up some courage to test the rest of the colour palette.

I suppose 'new' this time is that we are relieved of yet another tie-belt which I imagine could get in the way of a busy meet-and-greet session. And we have the first 'updo' in fashionable casual form. I sometimes wonder if Meghan thinks more fashion shoot than royal House of Windsor, but I don't object, I like seeing the boundaries tested.

And no bag this time. I love the tweed texture of the coat and the shoes are to die for with their contrast tortoiseshell heel. They saved me from giving a thumbs down to a pet hate of mine, stillettos with full flares! Overall, I'd say Meghan was in her prime.

She looks absolutely lovely, modern, appropriate for the occasion, and best of all relaxed! But most of what we've seen her in so far "officially" has been very similar, though. Black, beige, tan, brown... I would like to see her in a few saturated colors; I think jewel tones would be simply stunning on her (like her engagement announcement dress)!

Kimberly I don't think they are by Missoma. They look simpler and thinner than Missoma designs.

Here from WKW site! First time posting. Not too impressed with Meghan's choices so far. The wrap/belted coats seem way too bulky. The hair is much too casual. The pants make her look frumpy.

I DO like the shoes. Very polished and smart.

She needs to kick start something in her wardrobe quickly.

Meghan's ring is very different to the one claimed by Le Plaisirs de Birks. Zofia Day contacted me to let me know the design was theirs which was later confirmed by People magazine.
