Prince Harry and Meghan Markle attended a memorial service today to commemorate the anniversary of the murder of Stephen Lawrence - a black British man who was killed in a racially charged shooting 25 years ago at the age of 18. The service held at the St. Martin-in-the-Fields church in London also celebrated his life and legacy.
Meghan wore a sleeveless black dress from Hugo Boss and styled her hair in her signature messy-bun. Full outfit details below.

I really, really like this dress!!! I would happily wear it to work, running errands, really anywhere. I'm not minding the nude/beige shoes and clutch too much but I hope they don't become a habit, Lol.

Sorry but this dress was not appropriate for the event. She looks like she was off to a cocktail party. It was also cold so why did she feel the need to wear this sleeveless dress!? I like Meghan and I don't want her to be Duchess Kate 2.0 but she missed the mark on this one and for important events like this she really should look to Kate for inspiration.

I completely agree! I think the dress was entirely too sparkly for a memorial service. The accessories, while wonderful, didn't go with the dress imho. Don't get me wrong, I loved all the pieces and I loved them on her just not together and not for this event.

I love that she keeps her own style. Because that is why Prince Harry fell in love with her. She would not be the same person if she starts wearing the same outfits like Kate. Lets stop with the negative comments and instead imbrace that she is wearing the outfits that become her and that Prince Harry loves. Because you can see in the way he looks at her that he approves.

The black colour is suits to her, but i think she wears more than it should be. It would be good to see her in white and bright colours.

I'm hoping that we'll start seeing more colors now that the weather is turning and spring has sprung. The green dress the other day was a nice start.

A lovely and somber look for the occasion. Bare arms? Seems the British have an issue with them considering the hullabaloo a few months ago about how female newscasters were seen as less professional and serious when wearing sleeveless outfits. Interestingly enough, MM wore a sleeveless dress at her very next engagement (even though it was a cold day).

Meghan is doing very well even with a sleevless dress and a "messy-bun".. which I like far more than all the polished hairdos of other royal women. She is just at the beginning of a completely new life at the English court and she certainly will adapt in a very short time. Although I hope she will maintain her great sense of style.

I love the dress, but a blazer was needed for a church appearance.

Although I grew up in the Anglican Church (which is pretty stuffy about clothes, frankly) I don't remember any particular prohibition against bare arms.
