Meghan & Harry Kick Off New York City Visit

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex kicked off their trip to New York City on Thursday morning with a visit to the One World Observatory.

They joined the Mayor of New York City, Bill de Blasio and his family, and the New York governor Kathy Hochul on the observation deck of the One World Trade Center.

The couple's somber outfit choice came as they visited New York just a fortnight after the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 terror attacks. They returned to ground level to pay their respects at the 9/11 Memorial.

Meghan and Harry are in the city to attend the Global Citizen Live event which plans to urge world leaders to adopt a more equitable vaccine policy.

WHAT MEGHAN WORE

Meghan wore a navy coat paired with navy turtleneck and trousers. The pieces are currently unidentified. I will update the post as we find out more details.

It was wonderful to see them out. I’ve missed seeing them! They look very happy and settled (outside of the somber parts of their engagements) and I’m delighted to see that.
I also missed seeing Meghan’s fashion choices and selections. I think she has excellent taste in style and I love that some of her choices help support smaller businesses or women-own operations (though not so much perhaps during this trip, but I know your post is in progress, so we shall see!).

Beautiful, classy, sophisticated look! Her hair tied back and the understated jewelry show that she means business! Harry also looks great. They are a power couple who want to help bring light and awareness to great causes, and who have always dedicated their lives to service. Keep up the good work, Sussexes!

Love the coat, big fan of the upturned collar. But what’s interesting about this look, is how hot it was in NYC this week. Like mid 70s and very humid. How is she not a sweaty messy?? Jealous she can look glowing without looking dewy!

Beautiful, classy, sophisticated, so as not to draw attention from the causes. You can't go wrong with neutral colors like navy and black. Jacket fits beautifully. They are both carrying themselves with such class and dignity. They are being of service but on their own terms now. I wish them all the best.

I do recall the ID at the time but I'm not sure there was enough to say with confidence because it's such a basic top. I don't believe the brand ever confirmed it, but I may be wrong?
