SHOES: NEW! Possibly the Ralph Lauren 'Celia’ pumps in brown goat suede.

It's been great to see the Duchess again, but her outfits have left me underwhelmed and I've balked at nearly every price tag. Not one of the pieces she wore looked particularly luxurious (maybe just the RL coat) so I've been disappointed to see Meghan opt for such extravagance. She looked lovely in each outfit but I wasn't wowed.

I completely agree Millie. I usually love what she wears and either try to purchase the item or emulate a look, but unfortunately this trip her looks as you put it has been underwhelming.

Completely agree. Most of it was meh and very ill fitting and for the price..read the room. Not the place to wear a $15k outfit. She looked so much better in her madewell/everlane classics from her blogging days. I got the vibe of trying to dress a part but missing the mark. She is a little heavier in the middle after those baybays..who here isn’t…dress for who you are today..not 10 years ago!

I was hoping to see a mix of JCrew, Madewell, Everlane etc this trip, but sad to only see overpriced garments. It would have been nice if Meghan would mix and match high-end with high-street which she did effortlessly back in her blogging days and as a royal.

I must agree with Milly, the Duchess of Sussex outfits for the Invictus Games have been very disappointing. There is nothing inspirational. I have also been disappointed that since Meghan joined the Royal Family at the extravagance of the price tags for her clothing.

I am here for Meghan wearing what she likes despite what her body type may be. I wish more women would do so. Maybe if less women picked apart women’s midsections like I’ve seen in these comments, it would become a reality.

I look up to Meghan as a fashion icon, and whilst I agree everyone is entitled to wear what they want including the Duchess, we naturally have higher expectations of her given her budget and access to designers, stylist etc. Learning to dress for your body shape is essential to looking your best and many of us are on this blog to get style tips and inspiration, so I don't think it's unwarranted to make a comment about fit because it's how we all learn to avoid similar pitfalls when it comes to styling. You might not care about those things (which is fine), but many of us are here for fashion inspiration and I think the comments should be taken in that context.

It's difficult for me to reconcile the so-called 'progressive' mission of Meghan and Harry with the spending of such an insane amount of money on luxury brands. Not only does it seem inappropriate considering the occasion, there is a clear desire to show off her wealth through the way she dresses, which I don't enjoy.

There is always going to be some disconnect between Meghan's message and her lifestyle. The same applies for all elites. The main thing to focus on is that she is using her platform to raise awareness about the issues she cares about, and trying to make a difference.

This Valentino dress is a fail for me. I don't like the floral design across the bodice and top of sleeves. The length I am not a fan of either. I was quite shocked at the price of this dress. The Hobo bag is cute. Your comment will be posted after it is approved.
