I like these types of alpaca coats (warm and lightweight) and have one myself. But it appears to be too small for her and is gaping in the front. It looks better as it appears on the model and is fully closed.

I like the idea of the leather belt with the coat, to complement gloves and handbag, (and it makes the coat more structured and less "bath-robey) but the embroidery on the back of the belt should have been avoided as it is too busy looking.

The boots appear to be almost identical to the Stella McCartney boots that she wore at Christmas 2018. Personally, I don't like either pair as I don't like the slouchy look, especially with a dress coat. However, this would have been a good opportunity to do a re-wear of the boots that she already had.

Hat is good. Make up is nice. Hair too long. I notice that she hasn't carried a handbag in her last 3 or 4 appearances.

Completely agree with Louise on all accounts. I appreciate the belt attempt to make the coat not look so bathrobey..but it still looks like a bathrobe and it doesn’t fit. Also don’t like the slouchy boots but I love that hat. I am not a fan of the clutches she usually carries but I think in this instance..she probably didn’t bring one because she had a lot to do with her hands and where would she put the purse down to lay the cross, etc.

Also..is it just me..or is it weird that they have logos? The singular h and m with the crowns and then the one with both initials. Maybe all royals do this and I have just never noticeD? Harry and Megan use this a lot vs signing things. Also..Harry looks great in that uniform.

All of the BRF (and most other royals) have them their called cyphers. It's basically a monogram. The coronet (crown) is the same one used over their coat of arms. For Harry and Meghan it's the coronet of the children of the heir apparent (and their spouses). Cyphers are also used on letterhead, gift picture frames, etc.

There was also a cross from Camilla with her initial and a crown. So it’s not a ‘Sussex thing’ :)

Most of the Royals have these individual monograms, they also have combined ones for each couple too. Meghan and Harry merge their initials under the crown for their one where as I think William and Kate have both initials separately under the crown for their combined one.

Duchess Meghan looks great today! I especially love the velvet hat with the veil overlay. The navy and black combo works well for the somber event. Also, her light makeup looked flawless and effortless and her looked nice today as well. Overall, I like this look.

Meghan looks beautiful in this color. I agree hair is too long and gives her an unkept vibe. I like the belt idea but it needed to be more substantial. LOVE THE FASCINATOR. Boots are too slouchy with this coat.

I love this look from top to bottom.

I also love how she cinched the jacket so that it looks like a jacket and not a bathrobe, which it what it looks like on the model IMO.

Meghan looks GREAT, although those types of coats are not my style. Everything ain't for everybody though.

Her hair is luxurious AF. I NEED to know her haircare routine dagnabbit. And I absolutely love her hat.

Dark blue looks beautiful on her. I usually don't like the hats she wears (us Americans aren't that big on hats anyway unless it's fancy church hats or caps) but this one definitely knocks it out the park. Is it the same kind worn by Kitty Spencer to her and Harry's wedding?

I hope y'all get some info on the outfit she wore w/Harry yesterday to visit the families of military personnel. She had one layered gold necklaces and I'd love to get the tea on those!

She looks adorable here. I agree the coat appears a wee bit tight, but she is still post partum -- so that. Her makeup, hair, hat ---- MWAH!!

The entire outfit is appropriately dark but not ominous. Very classy look. My favorite item is her hat.

I love the coat, but it's too casual for this event, especially as it's gaping. The belt isn't really successful. The hat doesn't match in texture, shade, or style. The look is frumpy and, honestly, surprisingly for the Duchess, a total miss.

I love this coat, the colour is lovely. It appears not to fit properly, the divide in the front spoils the overall look. I much prefer the enclosed version on the model, streamlined more. The chosen belt on the model I love. Boots are too baggy looking for the coat. The hat is divine, beautiful colour, the fine netting not too much, just enough, sprinkled with subtle crystals by the look of it, really attractive. Love the addition of gloves, adds such elegance. The Duchess's makeup looked perfect.

I absolutely LOVE Meghan's hair, makeup and hat, but the rest of the outfit is a miss. The coat looked like a bathrobe, and the slouchy boots didn't help to enhance the ensemble. The poppy embossed belt was a nice touch but the belt did nothing to refine the coat.

I like the coat but is too small. I feel that there is a lot going on with the coat, dress and boots. I do love her fascinator, is her best one in my opinion.

I absolutely love this ensemble, the mix of blue and black tones in luxurious winter textures of leather, velvet, alpaca is divine. I might try mixing black and navy myself! Her makeup looks amazing too:)
