Wow!!!! I love this look. This dress is stunning and fits her perfectly...not too tight and not like a tent.

I like this particular dress, but I feel like the coat is quite off given that the ceremony took place in an enclosed space. It seems rather awkward.

I am dissapointed to see that you have almost given up on your Kate blog. Meghan's outfit was up within minutes, but not Kate's and her last Northern Ireland outfit has yet to be included! We love Kate's style!

Kate, the event took place at midnight my time. It is VERY difficult and tiring to keep up with both Duchesses in the middle of the night. I posted Meghan's outfit details first because I recognised most of the pieces which made it easy to get the blog post started. I have also been away for the past 4 days which I noted on my Kate blog. Please understand I am only human and I try my best x

Elizabeth, I am so sorry you've had to justify your commitment to your blogs. Most of us understand that you are located on the other side of the world and you often stay up to the wee hours of the morning to cover events, and for that we are so grateful! It's disappointing that some people can't see the huge amount of effort it takes to maintain your blogs and you shouldn't have to explain yourself. Keep up the amazing work and make sure you look after yourself and take breaks when ever you see fit.

I totally agree about Kate blog. I was looking forward to see Kate’s style but it didn’t happen . I personally love to see Kate and Meghan blog. But I know it must be hard to keep updating both blogs .

I’d love to see the dress without the coat. It looks lovely.

Agree with Issy. I think the dress would’ve been gorgeous without the coat which seemed overdone at the inside function.
Probably considering it’s a maternity dress it’s highly unlikely to be seen again anytime soon!

I totally agree about the coat being too much for an inside event. It look a bit out of place. Megan have broad shoulders and very slim legs, and she tend to wear coats or even dresses that makes it more prominent. Like this coat, look better balanced with the pregancy but not on other occasions. i hate how she wears the collar though. Her dramatic side always have to show, it seems. I loved Kates outfit, totally a big big hit

I like the look of the dress with the white coat though I understand what some of you said above. I too would like to see Meghan wear a maternity dress without hiding it under a coat sometimes.

Her clutch purse is silk. Her shoes are suede. It feels unnatural to mix silk with suede. Is it just me?

I like Meghans dress very much. Brocade is not seen so often in dresses nowadays and it's nice, that she has chosen a dress in this fabric. It also looks nice with the coat. Palaces can be quite draughty so I understand that she left the coat on.

Meghan does not intend to take anything away from Kate. Also Meghan fans are quite capable to NOT drag Kate. I wish Kate fans would be able to do the same. We are living in 2019 and do we really still pit woman against each other? What is wrong with a mixed race woman having married into the BRF? Tell me one good reason, why this is so terrible.

Which family on this planet equals to the Windsors? Which woman would not be called a social climber if she had married into this family? Most of the palaces including furniture don't belong to the BRF. They may use them but they don't own them. I imagine that the Queen lives in some of the rooms, but she does not use all of them, they are only for representative purposes. I remember seeing pictures of Prince Charles wearing a suit which was patched. Prince Harry's shoes have holes in their sole. Duchess Kate wearing dresses costing 40 British Pounds. The Queen herself wearing old clothes in privacy.

I mean, who would like to live in these old buildings which have no central heating, high ceilings, are draughty and you most probably have to sit close to the fireplace to stay somewhat warm?

Harry prepared Meghan for the abuse she would get, if she married him. She already experienced the abuse when they were only dating. She must love him very much to accept all this. They are representatives of the crown. A lot of business is being made in the wake of their visits and the visits of the others to countries. They should be compared to high rank diplomats.

I agree with you msbratty. I too think that Harry did choose well and found in Meghan one of the best possible spouses. Meghan is smart, well educated, a fantastic charity worker and a woman with a great amount of energy who can make things happen. She is used to cameras and is a great speaker. She brings a modern touch into the BRF and a little bit of glamour which I think is necessary for the years to come.

This was my most favorite dress worn by the Duchess. They call it brocade but I had a few dresses made with the same material when I was a teen. We called the material “peau-de-soie.” A beautiful luster to the surface of the fabric. She looks terrific in this material.
