Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were up before sunrise today to attend the ANZAC Day dawn service at Wellington Arch in London.
ANZAC Day is a national day of remembrance in Australia and New Zealand which marks the anniversary of the first major military action fought by Australian and New Zealand forces (ANZACs) during the First World War. It now broadly commemorates all Australians and Kiwis “who served and died in all wars, conflicts, and peacekeeping operations” and “the contribution and suffering of all those who have served”.

Meghan looks lovely and I love the hat and shoes but I thought is was customary to wear black or at least navy for such memorial events, so I don't get why she wore a light colored coat? All winter she wore black and now when it's not appropriate she dons a light color. I think she wanted to be seen when photographed during the dawn service when it was dark. If she wore black she wouldn't stand out.

The coat is grey and that to me is a colour which is perfect for the memorial event. I think we should stick to the fashion and refrain from insinuating, that she is looking for attention, because she has this attention for a long time to come, whether she likes it or not and no matter what she does or wears.

I agree, had she worn a bright color like pink for example then it would have been inappropriate, but the choice of grey was perfect for the occasion. I loved both the outfits she wore today. She's been knocking it out of the park lately!

When I first saw this coat, I imagined that Meghan had raided Kate's closet as it's much more Kate's style than Meghan's. I'm not much of a fan of the loads of buttons and those strange side flaps but perhaps Meghan was trying to incorporate a military feel to her outfit this morning. I do like the hat though and feel that it added a bit of a "Meghan" vibe to this ensemble. All in all, Meghan looked very nice this morning and completely appropriate for this type of event.
