About $2,280 USD, not including taxes etc..it's not Ralph Lauren it Meghan. Someone needs to put their foot down, I mean another brand like Zara which always has nice items no it's Victoria Beckham $1000 (in US Dollars) sweater, even J. Crew is considered high-end their just have a sales low this years. How about Alexander McQueen, nope she has to choose Givenchy which is one of the few French Designers to have Haute Couture couture is about the 4th most expensive brand in the fashion industry.

Why are you getting so worked up? You are definitely not a British tax payer, as your English is not good enough. You are one of those people who visit nearly every blog about Meghan on the internet, because it is your aim to trash her. I wonder why your comment was published.

Alison, I agree. I didn't realize Harry was so materialistic, allowing her to spend so much. All a waste.

Megan came into the marriage with her own money and designers (Ralph Lauren), who I think is a close friend. So stop worrying.

I like how she experiments, but that also means not everything is a 100% win. The palazzo pant hem wasn't convincing for me.

Meghan is slaying! I adore Kate but she is so predictable and vanilla compared to Meghan. I love Meghan's confidence to experiment with different looks. She reminds me of Queen Letizia in that way. I know the wide leg pants won't be to everybody's taste and it's something I personally would not wear, but I can appreciate how tres chic Meghan looks!

I really take offensive to the "so predictable and vanilla" comment. Both women are individuals with completely different styles. Women comparing one woman's style to another is unnecessary. Both Duchesses look lovely and they look like themselves. Meghan looks like she is settling into her new life and Kate has my full admiration for being a new mother with a 12 week old baby putting herself out in full view of the public. Bravo to both women.

Very chic á la Marlene Dietrich beauty moment. Her hair was a bit too messy - just like the neck of the shirt- when they arrived. Kate has a very boring outfit besides Meghan.

Aside from the price tag for the pieces, Meghan still dresses as if she is an actress, not a new member of the royal family. I get that the pieces may be deemed "chic" or whatever other cute term, but that is not the right look for her new role. I am not suggesting she has to follow the DoC's lead on a more conservative style, but for goodness sakes, at least hem those pants and fix the shirt collar. The messy bun is enough "messiness," the whole outfit doesn't have to look so messy! I can't say I like this, especially for a "duchess."

The whole outfit was unusual and looked untidy. Agree what is it with the hair, the collar half turned and imagine how dirty the hem on the white pants would of been by the end of the event. The shirt looked too big I don't know what Chic is either but the overall look was messy.

Nope. I don’t like this at all..she looks to be trying too hard. First..the pants don’t fit correctly...she needs them hemmed...as they should fit like the model photo. I have a personal pet peeve of whites not matching in outfits...her pants should have been a little whiter and I would have liked it a lot more. In general...more fitted looks are better on her...too much fabric overwhelms her.

Today I found the Bengal-Stripe Cotton Shirt in a store in town and tried it on. The shirt is really very nice. It has a beautiful colour and a perfect cut and fabric. But as I expected, size 4 was too big and it looks like that size 2 is sold out because it's not available on websites nor in stores any longer. We are going on vacation this week and the shirt would have been a perfect summer garment :).

Her shirt did show lumps, just not on those photos. If you look for one of her walking down the stairs to get to her seat, you'll see that dress malfunctions happen for duchesses too.

Does Meghan have a fashion stylist and if so, who is he/she? With all the engagements and events on her calendar, how far in advance is Meghan's outfits planned out?

Jeanna, it's reported that Meghan's close friend Jessica Mulroney is her stylist. Many of the looks Jessica has sourced have been from collections yet to hit the racks. I wold assume her wardrobe is planned as soon as the event is marked in Meghan's calendar!

I'm almost certain Meghan pays for her own wardrobe so the cost isn't on the tax payer. She can spend what she wants on clothes. I love that she is more adventurous with fashion than her SIL and that she wears so many trousers outfits. Although I love her in skirts and dresses she really looks great in trousers and tailored suits.

Where do you get your information? What I've read is that yes, both Duchesses wardrobes are indirectly paid for by the taxpayer. The cost for wardrobes on official engagements disbursed by Charles's Duchy of Cornwall and indirectly on the taxpayer through his preferential tax bracket that was changed not so long ago. That being said, she'd be a fool to use her own money as she's not a multi-millionaire to be spending 5K on couture every month and she is working. I think it's fine because Meghan looks always very classy!

Terrible outfit on such a hot day to go watch tennis. She’s insane. And no earrings. Really? Her last couple of engagements she was doing really good. Waste of money, I hope she got this outfit for free from Ralph Lauren.

My problem is that she's spending a fortune on pieces that will go out of style within a year and then will never wear them again. Comparatively, Kate might be more boring/safe but she can get her cost-per-wears down because her expensive pieces are able to be re-worn across the years. The last time flared pants were 'in' was the 90s, no? Maybe we'll see her wear them again in another 25 years....

Did she ever worn the hat during the day or just kept it in her hand???? Nobody else wearing hats? Love the shirt, not with that pants though. Blue suits her. Maybe if the shirt was long, like a shirt dress, it would be more fitting. Now that would look stunning with some cute shoes and maybe a thin belt. The pants is not my favourite. I do like her style overall though. Just too expensive as well as if she is trying too hard.

I read that no one is allowed to wear hats if you are seated in the royal box. It might block the view for others. Common courtesy. Odd that no one mentioned this to her.

I don't quite know what to think of Meghan's wardrobe, sometimes it's hit, other it's a miss. A clear hit (2nd wedding dress, Givenchy suit from Ireland, Carolina Herrera), miss(Oscar De La Renta, grey Roland Mouret from Ireland).I do think she chooses wrong pieces sometimes, that will go out of style within a year and then will never be able to rewear them. Another thing is their prices! Her closet choices are a bit much for me and I start to dislike the word 'bespoke'. I really like to find her iconic pieces in stores and dreaming to get them...

You took every single word right out of my mouth except you were much kinder. Meghan never used to dress like this, even in her regular life. It's was such a hot day that day for Wimbledon and she wears a long sleeve shirt and wide legged pants?

I sent a similar inquiry below. I am not expecting you to post both. However, the inquiry is the same-- does anyone know why she isn't wearing earrings-- It may just be me, but I don't visit the grocery store without some studs. And she is petite, so she must be very careful not to wear items that are even a wee bit to large (pants too long and shirt too large). I love her, and feel this is America's greatest loss and England's greatest gain!! Maybe it was to not shine more than Kate.

I’m surprised at how horrible you’ve allowed some of these comments to be. Especially the second one. The long rant about the cost of Meghan’s clothing. Speaking about how disgusting she is and comparing her to Kate to bring her down. You said you’ll allow comments as long as they’re respectful but there are many on here (not just the one I pointed out) that are disrespectful and bullying.

Poor Meghan, she is drowning in that bad outfit. Pooled trousers that wrinkle in the front, oversize shirt looks sloppy and not properly tucked in, hair is messy, hat is held awkwardly in the hands. The high plain waistband is not flattering. Whites are mismatched. To me, this look is androgynous and disparate and cheap (although, I understand, it cost a lot of money). I don't care that the daughter of a former Prime Minister (Mulroney) designed it. It's just bad. This look is made even worse by its proximity to classy Kate.

I like her change of pace of wearing a dress shirt with pants. However, the white in the shirt clashes with the off white of the pants. Wearing white pants would have been better. Her pants are way too long. Needed to be hemmed shorter.
