Duchess Meghan makes a surprise appearance at the British Fashion Awards

The Duchess of Sussex made a surprise appearance at the British Fashion Awards in London tonight.

Meghan presented the Womenswear Designer of the Year award to Claire Waight Keller, the artistic director at Givenchy who created her wedding dress and many other bespoke outfits since becoming a Duchess.

WHAT MEGHAN WORE

DRESS: Givenchy black one shoulder velvet gown (bespoke)

SHOES: Tamara Mellon 'Karat' Gold Strappy Sandals (US$550).

BRACELETS: Pippa Small 'Wajiha' Bangle (£360), and the Pippa Small 'Omeen' Bangle.

Pippa Small claimed the curved bangle was also her design but did not provide a stock image.

This photo of a collection of Pippa Small bangles does show one with a curved design but we can't see a semi-circle indent.

Meghan appears to to have worn a similar piece in 2015 but it's unknown if it's the same bangle.

I think she looks great here. She is absolutely glowing. Now this is a bun/chignon...very sleek...not at all messy. I also like the subtle gold accents...those shoes are amazing.

The Duchess looks fantastic! Very elegant and stunning! I love the look from head to toe, including the hair, makeup and accessories. You can never go wrong with black velvet in my opinion.

Wow, the Duchess looks radiant! It is nice to see her looking so beautiful and happy. No sign of stress amid all the ridiculous press. The dress, her hair, make-up, the jewellery and shoes, everything is perfect.

Gown is beautiful especially the piping on the bottom of the gown. I don't like the dark nail polish and gold bracelets combo. Too harsh. Takes away from the gown.
