On Saturday evening, the Duchess of Sussex attended the 2024 Children's Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) Gala at The Event Deck at L.A. LIVE.

The CHLA Gala celebrates the courage of young patients and honors the exceptional physicians, researchers, and caregivers dedicated to creating hope and building healthier futures for children. The event typically features a dinner, live entertainment, and a silent auction. As a major fundraiser for the hospital, proceeds directly support its mission of delivering the highest quality care to children in need.

The Duchess looked resplendent in her red Carolina Herrera Plunge Neck Silk-Faille Gown.

She first wore the gown with the detachable overskirt in November 2021 for the Salute to Freedom Gala.

Tonight, she complemented the slimmed-down version of the dress with a new pair of Aquazzura ‘So Nude’ 105 Sandals in Lipstick Red ($825).

I like this dress so much more without the overskirt! It's still not my favorite neckline, but I think rewearing something to this is great and taking off the overskirt gives it a new life.

The dress is so poorly-designed and poorly-fitting that the horrible Amazon-linked dress you have actually looks better. Herrera failed miserably on this one.

I love this look so much, but she definitely should've gotten it altered a lil' snugger since she's lost her postpartum weight since she last wore it. Those boob darts do NO ONE any favors. I HATE "the darts" when they're in dresses and shirts like that, they're just a big set up for any woman who dares wear them.

I love this dress way more without the train too- she looks so relaxed and California glam.

There's no denying that Meghan is a stunning women and I love the concept of this versatile dress, but the bodice is very unflattering and I would have preferred something a bit more demure for a children's event.
