On Saturday evening, the Duchess of Sussex attended the 2026 Fifteen Percent Pledge Fundraising Gala held at Paramount Studios in Los Angeles.
Founded by Aurora James, the Fifteen Percent Pledge calls on U.S. retailers to dedicate at least fifteen percent of shelf space to Black-owned businesses, advancing equity through economic opportunity. The event took place during Black History Month, a time to honor Black achievement, creativity, and community.
Meghan looked effortlessly natural as she paused for photos ahead of the gala.
For the occasion, the Duchess delivered Old Hollywood glamour in a custom gown by Harbison Studio, a Los Angeles–based, Black-owned luxury brand founded by designer Charles Harbison in 2021.
Crafted in heavy satin, the strapless gown takes inspiration from the designer’s Quanta II Gown, with its column silhouette and sweetheart bodice trimmed in black velvet.
The contrasting black velvet cape added drama with cuffed sleeves and a sweeping train.
On her feet were the Stuart Weitzman 'Nudist' Sandal in Black Suede.
She completed the look with vintage jewellery sourced from Maison Mèrenor, a Beverly Hills–based luxury estate jewellery atelier, opting for onyx and diamond pendant earrings and a cocktail ring.
Both pieces have appeared on Maison Mèrenor’s Instagram, including a 2022 post featuring founder Amie Satchu wearing the earrings, while the ring was spotlighted in a separate post that same year.
UPDATE (10 Feb 2026): I was able to find clearer stock images and more information on the ring at 18karatappraisers.com—it’s by R. Stone and dates to the 1960s.

The Duchess is positively glowing, but I’m not a fan of the dress’s sloppy workmanship—particularly the bulky hemline and uneven seams. That said, I love the way Meghan styled it with the cape; it instantly elevated the look and gave it a regal finish. Her choice of accessories beautifully captured that Old Hollywood glamour.

I agree, not my favorite look with this dress but she carries everything with such confidence and grace which is admirable in and of itself.
