​BABY ARCHIE UPDATES

6 July 2019
Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor was christened in the Private Chapel at Windsor Castle this morning. Baby Archie wore the handmade replica of the Royal Christening Robe. In accordance with Royal tradition, the Lily Font and water from the River Jordan were used during the Christening. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex shared two photos from this special day. The photo below was taken in the castle's Rose Garden.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced that they have named their son Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor.  
The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh were introduced to their eighth great-grandchild at Windsor Castle. The Duchess’ mother Ms Doria Ragland was also present.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex stepped out with their newborn son at St. George’s Hall in Windsor Castle, two days after welcoming the new addition to the royal family.

Baby Sussex was wrapped in a traditional merino wool ivory white 'leaves & flowers' shawl from royal favourite, G.H. Hurt & Son. The young royal also wore a white cashmere hat by the heritage label.

It is reported that Baby Sussex was born at The Portland Hospital for Women and Children which is a private maternity hospital.

Correction! We were led to believe by palace aides that baby Sussex was born at Frogmore Cottage, but in fact he arrived at private London hospital the Portland. All other details still the same! Can’t wait to see a picture of him on Wednesday with his proud parents!

Buckingham Palace released a statement announcing that the Duchess of Sussex went into labour in the early hours of the morning, and an announcement will be made soon regarding the birth of Baby Sussex after the family has had time to celebrate privately.
